VTL Center for Professional Development enhances nursing education and development by uniting state associations across the U.S. to streamline resources and elevate professional standards
In early 2013, several state nurses associations (SNAs) joined forces to establish the Midwest Multistate Division, now known as VTL Solutions, with the aim of enhancing efficiencies and fostering growth. This collaboration brings together partners from Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, allowing each SNA to retain its unique identity while leveraging shared resources. VTL Solutions offers unified tools and technologies, streamlining operations and capitalizing on the capabilities of the American Nurses Association (ANA) to strengthen each SNA.
To support this initiative, the Midwest Multistate Division Professional Development Unit—now VTL Center for Professional Development —was created. The VTL Center for PD streamlined application processes, combined staff resources, and integrated policies and procedures to form a cohesive Accredited Approver arm.
VTL Center for Professional Development is accredited as an approver and provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC COA). The ANCC NCPD Accreditation Program supports the lifelong learning needs of professional registered nurses by ensuring that nursing continuing professional development activities are designed using criteria that are evidence-based and independent from commercial influence.
VTL Solutions, through the VTL Center for Professional Development, provides two approval processes for agencies, organizations, and facilities seeking to obtain approval to award nursing contact hours for their continuing professional development programs.
